30 Day Pokemon Challenge - Day 3

Was there ever any doubt? Well at first there was, actually. I had a little difficulty choosing between Chikorita and Mudkip. I've just been playing through Pokémon Ruby again, and man... The attack power on Mudkip... It just ruins everyone's day who's stupid enough to stand in its way...

But I choose Chikorita, since it's so unique for a starter. It learns a lot of supporting moves, like the Screens, Sunny Day, and Synthesis... Most of the starters are focused more on the offense, while Chikorita is there to support others, making it open up a whole different (more interesting) playing experience than any other starter I've played with. Plus, I think Chikorita was my very first Pokémon ever, back in Pokémon Gold, my first Pokémon game ever. So it won points for that.
